Lilly the Stuntwoman! Well umm not really.....
Total brain fart moments, just thought about this topic because I have been reminded lately ( I mean made fun of) about what happened a year ago at my house last year. Last summer we put up a privacy fence for our yard. We have pretty big yard with a long driveway and since my husband works from his garage as a mechanic we always have a shit ton of cars & parts and so forth. He's a total car guy and so are his friends and they are constantly emailing him ad listings for more cars, parts, tools, etc. Well it was a Saturday in July, and I was not in good mood (visit from aunt flo) and it was hot as hell, and my husband tells me "Hey honey I'm going to the bank, Dave is coming with his trailer we are to pickup another car" WTF, first I'm thinking thanks for asking my opinion about purchasing the car and spending our money!!!! Secondly, what the hell this man has too many project cars as it is that are just flippin lawn ornaments anyways. Needless to say I was furious about this. So he came back with car and he was checking it out and it ran but then it kept stalling so he had me try starting the car after he checked the car and tinkered with it. Our son Max ran next to Vince to see what he was what doing and Vince quickly and told him NEVER STAND IN FRONT OF A CAR WHEN SOMEONE IS TRYING TO START IT. I'm so glad he said this because after a few tries the car started and it was in gear and I panicked and did not know to do. Considering I drive a 5 speed and have been for the past ten years I should have, but I wasn't in the right state of mind. Vince kept yelling at me telling what to do but I'm didn't realize it until I had went through a section of fence that leads to the front yard. Nobody was hurt and the car was fine except for the section of fence I crashed into that needed to replaced. When it was over I quickly went upstairs and laid in my bed completely mortified and embarrassed on what I had done. I'm just glad that Max did listen and he didn't get hurt. I guess the lesson learned is don't piss of wife she might crash your car into a fence!!!!

Grateful, damn right I am!
I am extremely grateful for these three people in life my Mom, my husband/best friend Vince, and last but not least my awesome little man Max but this blog will be about my strong Puerto Rican mother.
My mom of course don't see eye on eye everything and man did we get on each others nerves when I was younger. Trust me there were plenty of times I got the beat down with the chancla(sandal for non puerto ricans)But she's has always been there for me. My life would be very different without her help and guidance. This woman is amazing, she has been through so much crap throughout her life, bankruptcy, two failed marriages, poverty, physical/emotional abuse and the list goes on. But she's one tough cookie and she always manages to get back on her feet and stay positive. And today I have been thinking about her, she's been having stomach pains and has not been able to eat lately and she went in for an ultrasound, results will be in Friday. They think gall stones, but will see. I called her today and of course she brushed it off and was getting ready for another double shift at the hospital, but I could tell in her voice she was at least a little scared. She asked me " What are you worried about your mother?" and I responded like my son Max would have responded " Of course I love my mommy!". Love you mom, just want you to be happy and healthy (and help me with my gardening because I still need a lot help!)
